Bioshock: Infinite game review [part one]

Bioshock: Infinite is a brand new game that is rumored to possibly become game of the year. I decided to give it a shot and honestly I must agree. [Warning: Spoiler alert, read at your own discretion] 

In the opening, you are on a boat with two other people. The woman hands you a gun as you head towards a tiny island with a tower. Upon climbing the tower you reach a door with 3 bells. 

After entering the code, you are transported to a place above the sky and land below in what seems to be a sanctuary/worshiping place

The details and art work put into the introduction is amazing and it gives off a somewhat eerie feeling. Follow the trail until you meet a group of worshipers. 

Kinda creepy aren't they? Afterwards, you grab a priest's hand and he then "baptizes" you until you pass out and awaken to the outside world.

More wonderful detail and effort made to this game. I absolutely love it. Search everything for food, coin, and whatever else you could find. I also recommend that once you reach the fairgrounds, you do all the mini games. Free money you know?

Sound familiar, don't they? I do not know their part in the game yet but this won't be the only time you will meet them [spoiler] but so far they're my favorite NPCs. 

Can this game get any better? The answer is yes, yes it can. [Here's where the rest becomes a spoiler. I'll try not to give away too much]

Eventually you meet your current goal: Elizabeth. 

She is by far one of the best female characters I have ever seen. She isn't the typical damsel in distress type because she actually can fend for herself (kudos to the game creators honestly) she's a really likable person and won't drag you down through missions. 

Once you meet her, she hardly leaves your side. Plus she also has many benefits as a partner in the game (find out soon if you really play)

That's pretty much where I leave off in the game (well bother to take pictures I mean) pretty lousy cam work but i'll try recording gameplay when it's possible. Anyway so far I am in love with the game, it's fantastic and heart pounding. The creators put a lot of effort in making this game amazing. The emotional attachment and adrenaline in fights make this the perfect game i've played so far.

I wouldn't be shocked if this got game of the year along with Tomb Raider because I give this game a 5/5. Everything i've seen so far makes this one hell of a game.

My Table of Wonders~

Please excuse the messy area, I tried to tidy up as much as possible. Anyways, welcome to my art space tour 2013! 

Here I will be showing you guys a quick glance of the area I work in! Hope you enjoy it~

Here's the major section of my art space. I keep a little figure man so I can use it as reference for posing and such. I also require tons of arm space when I'm using my art tablet

Nothing compliments a table more than a desk organizer/pencil holder. Luckily I keep 2 to separate my pencils, pens, and paint brushes for quick and easy access! 

Messy right? 

Not much to see, just a general view of the second major space of my table. I also like to add cute things to make my space more cute for easy creative flow

I haven't used watercolor in years and I found my old painting pads that were still new and unused!

The ones to the far left and the far right are my sketchbooks. I'm almost running out of space inside both so i'll be buying (and reviewing) a new one. The red notebook is used for watercolor but I won't be using it until I get better.

Underneath my desk I keep my sculpting and polymer clay supplies inside adorable boxes. I keep newer supplies in a bigger box, my finished work inside a metal one, and the clear plastic ones are used to store little bits and pieces of random things and used clay.

I also keep an unused box of pastels that I will learn how to one day use. Currently i'll be using them for polymer clay works. 

Lastly, I keep a big box on the side of my table. It contains random cute knick-knacks of cute bits, stationary, stickers, markers, etc. It's a very convenient organizer for me to use.

What's in my bag~

I've been meaning to do this post for quite some time but never got around to doing so. I was hoping to do this as a video but since it's a first time thing, i'll be doing it over pictures.

First of all, this is my brand new Rilakkuma baggie that I bought while I was in the Philippines. It's a decent size bag but you can't exactly place a binder or a huge textbook inside it. It comes with 2 rings for the owner to decorate with cute charms and keychains and 2 side pockets for whatever could fit inside. 

I always carry around cute little notebooks that I use for school. The thing I love most about these notebooks are that they're small, portable, and easy to store in purses and small backpacks. As far as I know, these little guys are available in Asian markets and shops only.

This is my mini make-up bag from Benefit cosmetics. I hardly carry it around but when i'm having a bad skin day or just feel like plastering things on my face, I stuff it with goodies that are useful for me. 

But I usually bring something like these small, travel size accessories. My favorite Shiseido chapstick that looks like a lipstick, Christian Dior eyeshadow palette, Urban Decay primer potion, Shiseido mascara, Urban Decay pencil eyeliner and a mini lipgloss that's also from Urban Decay. And lastly a small portable mirror I purchased from an Asian market.

I also tend to carry around some hand lotion (which is a must for me since I love having soft hands), some medication for when I am having shark week problems, my house keys, and of course a portable first aid kit for when I get too clumsy and make boo-boos. 

I never leave home without my phone and ipod of course. I also carry around some artsy related stuff so that the artist in me doesn't get bored. Like my portable sharpener and some yard to make bracelets in case I have some free time c:

Never leaving home without a good novel to carry around in case of art blocks or lack of a good creative flow. Currently reading the Mortal Instrument series (highly recommend it before the movie's realease this summer), some mini notebooks to write important reminders such as projects, etc. and a sheet of sticker to make my stuff and the area around me, cuter. 

Of course you guys have seen this little pencil case I bought. Also from the Philippines which I am really loving because I can't seem to find this little guy anywhere.

Cosplay Ideas [Anime and Video Game]

Not once have I ever been to Fanime but since I constantly get invited to meet ups and from seeing cosplays so much on my blog, I finally got interested. 

In some order, here's a list of cosplays I am currently planning on doing from Summer 2013- whenever c:

Adventure Time's Flame Princess.

It'd be a simple cosplay for a beginner like me because all i'd really need is an orange wig (short) and some orange skin paint. The clothing I could just use any orange dress and make it so it's like something FP would wear

The next 2 are from my current favorite anime, Mirai Nikki.

First would be Yuno Gasai. 

I haven't decided which of her outfits i'd wear but my main concern is finding contact lenses for cheap and finding the right wig. For sure i'll be making her weapon by myself (i't make things more fun that way too)

Second would be Uryuu Minene. 

I'd need to find purple contact lenses for a more affordable price as well as a purple wig and her eye-patch. Then I have to decide which outfit to cosplay.   

Sayaka Miki 

is another character I want to cosplay. Honestly, i'd need a lot of money to get her costume, contact lenses, wig, and shoes. Making the weapon would be my job though so I can have fun making it.

The following cosplays are from my favorite video games. These would take some time to make (except for maybe 2 or 3 of them)

First would be Bioshock's Little Sister.

 Deciding weather or not i'd have to buy a wig, unless my hair grows out. Guessing i'd need to buy contact lenses as well as finding her weapon. Or maybe i'll buy a Sack Boy doll (Little Big planet) to carry around. Lastly, I need to either make her dress/bow or try to buy it instead x.x

Mass Effect's Commander Femshep

Obvious that i'd cosplay as her, right? (Well if you follow me on Tumblr you'd know that). Anyways, all I'd really need is the N7 jacket considering I already have red hair (and everyone's FemShep looks different) so a simple cosplay here

Dishonored's Lady Emily

Still deciding whether or not I'd keep her on my list but no one seems to have made a cosplay yet. I'd probably add my own twist as well as making the cosplay myself. It is a new game after all so i'm unsure if the costume for her would be kind to my wallet. 

Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina

I just bought Borderlands 2 so I know nothing about the next 2 characters. But, they seem pretty cool to do. I'd need more research on Tiny Tina so, nothing to say. (Updating later).

Borderlands 2 Gaige the Mechromancer 

For Gaige, I clearly need to buy some parts for the costume (wig, goggles) but maybe the rest I can do myself. 

 Skyrim Nightingale Armor

This is my dream cosplay. I love, love, love Skyrim. I say this around Tumblr and I fell in love. No clue how to make this but I plan on learning how eventually.
